Junior Beach Training

AVA BEACH SUMMER TRAINING SESSIONS:

AVA BEACH CULTURE

We offer top level beach volleyball training focused on Junior athlete development towards the highest level foundational skills. We believe coaches are in service to the athletes, not the other way around. We train technical development, mental toughness, have fun and also help with college recruitment.

TRAINING PHILOSOPHY:

Our goal is to develop partnerships with motivated athletes who are working hard towards achieving their full beach volleyball potential.

We focus on high repetition practices with guided play time, in a focused setting with high coach to player ratios and individual attention based on the best training techniques used at the D1 NCAA level.

We believe in an always improving mindset, making your partner better and functioning as a cohesive supportive team. Learn to strategize and develop the mental aspects of the game. Play the percentages, develop court visions and master all the subtleties of beach volleyball.

Do you love beach volleyball and determined to be your best? Excel and take your game to the next level. Learn the valuable life lessons of hard work, determination and self reliance amongst others.

Most of all, we have FUN and work to develop the player's love of the game!

PARTNERSHIPS:

We partner with top coaches like Stein Metzger (UCLA), and Pro athletes like Jeremy Casebeer (AVP) to develop our coaches and players further each year as part of our "always learning" mentality. We teach the highest level NCAA techniques as used and taught to our coaches by Stein Metzger (UCLA) and other top national coaches.

WHERE:

AVA Beach Club practices at Alki Beach on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Outside in real beach tournament conditions and a fun, focused atmosphere.

WHO:

Players must be between ages 12-18 and have at least 1 year of organized team volleyball experience (indoor or beach). Athletes will be grouped by current experience level. As athletes develop they can move to more advanced.

We welcome beginner, intermediate and advanced athletes. During sessions players will be grouped by their experience and performance levels.

FORMAT:

Format is high repetition drills with technical instruction and guided play time - normally 30 minutes of scrimmage at the end of practice.

AVA uses smaller practice session than traditional clubs, allowing more focused one-on-one time with players.

Look forward to seeing you at Alki beach this summer!
